Better cliental and my counselor is great..client shouldnt be more knowledgeable then the doc. Nurses are great
The building itself is average. It shares parking lot with other office buildings so parking is available but certain days and times can be little busier. Never had trouble finding a spot though. Inside is clean and comfortable. They do well explaining everything and showing you where to go in future, on your first visit. The office staff jas always been helpful and kind to me. Ive had issues with insurance while there and Tracey was extremely patient, understanding and helpful and it took months to get it back on track. Nursing is ok. They do their job... period. I have been frustrated in this department more than once but you take what you get somewhere like this. I've never had an issue that was great enough to make me not go back. The doctor can be tough. Arrogant even. I've personally never had an issue with him, however I have seen repeatedly, situations where people were held to different standards than others, a favoritism i suppose you could call it. But i don't really think its quite that. Maybe it just depends on his mood... I can't honestly comment on why he treats one person different from the next and them from yet another.. I can only state that it happens.. often. And it's done in a manner that could leave one feeling very powerless, hopeless, frustrated, etc. (Which is not at all beneficial to a person trying to get help with this sort of thing.) The therapy dept. Here is where I'd say i see the most problems. They have a very high turn over rate for therapists. Which has a huge impact on clients. I personally, have had mine changed 4 times since i started going here 3 yrs ago. The one i would say was the best (not just here but that i have EVER had in over 15 years of therapy) was fired with no warning to patients. This was handled terribly and was devastating for a number of his clients. Since then, i have had 2 very kind ladies who both have been there for me when i needed them in any way. However, the skills, experience, guidance, wisdom, etc aren't there like they were. There IS HUGE need for improvement in this dept. Over all however, i must say i am satisfied enough! I was 'ready..' when i came here. And the Discovery House has had a huge part in changing my life.. Saving my life.. truly. I would recommend anyone seeking help try this facility. Hours stated on Google are the main office hours, although they may even differ slightly. However, 'patient' hours or nursing hours of operation are 5-11 M-F and 6-9 Sat. Closed sundays now and certain holidays the hours are limited also.
They actually care about their patients and their medication is normal like it should be. Very professional atmosphere and they're good people behind the scenes. Can't ask for much more.
